Meet Teresa Robinson, DNP, ARNP, PMHNP-BC

Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and experience in outpatient psychiatry, integrative mental health, genomics-informed care, and functional psychiatry approaches.

I believe mental health care should feel thoughtful, collaborative, and personalized — not rushed or one-size-fits-all.

Many individuals seeking care may be high-functioning on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, mentally exhausted, anxious, and burned out. My goal is to create a calm, supportive environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in treatment decisions.

My approach combines evidence-based psychiatric care with a broader look at the root cause that can affect emotional and cognitive well-being, including stress, sleep, lifestyle, relationships, overall health, environmental factors, and advanced laboratory or genetic insights. I strive to help patients better understand the “why” behind what they are experiencing so treatment feels more targeted, empowering, and sustainable over time.

My background has shaped a deep appreciation for resilience, perseverance, and lifelong growth. Before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I spent years balancing teaching, family responsibilities, professional leadership roles, and returning to school later in life to pursue nursing and advanced practice training. Those experiences continue to influence the way I approach care — with empathy, curiosity, collaboration, and a strong commitment to helping patients move toward greater clarity, balance, and overall well-being.

Beacon Psychiatry & Wellness was created to offer a more thoughtful and individualized approach to mental health care for those seeking deeper understanding, practical guidance, and lasting improvement.
